Doing Something Grand
Do something grand with your life. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be big and grand by the standards of most people. It just has to be big and grand to YOU. Feeling good about your self is grand. Having emotional and mental stability is important. I believe that having a practical sense of purpose is crucial to mental and emotional stability. You see, its not about how rich you are, but it’s about how grounded you are in loving what you make of your life. Your life, itself may be difficult. it may even be filled with tragedy or sickness. However, if you can figure out a way to stay stable/ figure out a way to maintain inner joy; figure out your reason to stay alive, your sense of purpose, you will survive and thrive. So do something grand, for you.
Are You Really Excited?

It’s amazing how some people are so enthusiastic about what they do. When you talk to them, you just know that they are serious about their work or passion. They are excited and they draw you into their excitement. If you are not positive and happy about your product, your art, or your project, how do you expect someone else to support you? I hope to never lose my passion for life and for my craft. I have so many things and I don’t want to take them for granted. By embracing what we know and love, we show others that we have greatness to share. I am enthusiastic about life, my music, and all the people who I meet everyday. Please introduce (or reintroduce) yourself to me in the comment section to this post. Talk to us, people. What are you excited about? What is your passion? When you promote it, are you ashamed and bashful? Or are you excited and enthusiastic?
I get excited about meeting new people. So let’s connect.

First day of summer.

What does the first day of summer mean to you? It’s a wake up call. Time is passing. Today the North Pole is tipped more toward the sun than on any other day of 2012. There will be lots of daylight here. Lot’s of time to get it right today. I’ll be spending time enjoying the sun, working and of course doing music. Any words of inspiration are welcome here. Thanks. Let’s keep in touch.
Are You Beautiful?
Angela Shella is a beautiful singer and educator.
Beauty is more than great fashion and makeup. Beauty is about how you feel inside. It is about your style. Your confidence. Beauty is what people see when they look into your eyes and feel your positive energy. Are you beautiful? Wearing great clothes and make up can make you feel more positive and more confident and thus you become even more beautiful. So it isn’t about the hair, clothes or makeup, but it is about what your personality says to the world and what you believe about yourself. It’s about how you walk through this world with your head up because you feel great. A few years ago I wrote “pretty songs”, a collection of songs that made me feel beautiful inside. I suppose, then, we all have our ugly moments. I don’t fully understand how some of the most attractive and talented people in the world commit suicide. Feeling trapped and you feel there is no other way out. Marilyn Monroe surely had so much more to share with the world. Study the picture and tell me if Marilyn Monroe looks sad here.
Be beautiful people.

Self-discipline @angieandthecool Network
Lately, I find myself asking for help and relying a bit too much on other people. After all, we all need each other, don’t we? But This morning I tell myself: It all boils down to self-discipline. Decide what you need to do. Acknowledge temptation. Just decide that you will resist it. Write the temptation down on a piece of paper. Ball it up and throw it away or burn it. Decide that today, your life is your own. No apologies. No excuses. No one to blame. No one to rely on. Today it is just you and yourself. Say that you are strong. List the actions you need to take. Take them. Just do it. Then get up tomorrow and do it again.
Are You Positive?
Dear Friends, It is important to remember your self worth. Love yourself. Stay away from negative people. They will try and pull you down. They may not even know that they are doing it because they have been negative for a long time. It feels natural to them. You have to surround yourself with people who are positive. People who inspire you. People who are hopeful about the future. Read positive books. Seek out positive relationships. This positive attitude will rub off on you. Listen to positive music, oh yeah.
Persistently yours, Angela.
Fire
Without creativity, I don’t think the world would be fit for anyone to live in. Creativity is like fire. That thing that inspires you in a nonstop, consistent, and persistent way. When it is in you, it burns. It spreads. You have to create when you feel the urge. If you don’t, it feels off balance. Unhealthy. Once you start, it catches on fire, again. Sometimes destroying old ideas in its path. I wrote a song the other day, just out of the blue. I felt a breeze come my way and I bet it came from God, something powerful, that’s for sure. It’s why I want to stay alive. What’s your fire?
Please download this song, Fire.
Persistently yours, Angela.
Don’t Bury Your Talent

No matter what happens, you have to use your talent to the fullest. It doesn’t matter if you have 5 people following your blog or 5 million people. You have to share your talent with much care and enthusiasm. I have to sing my heart out regardless of how many people show up to the event. Whatever it is that you do, sweeping a floor, writing a book, designing clothes, being a parent, being a cashier, running a business, doing art, photography, music, etc; do it well. Give it your best shot. Don’t bury it.
You’re Not Perfect
Recently, I have discovered that trying to be perfect, for me, is simply a form of procrastination. You know that urge and desire of having to make sure everything is just right. So you wait. You wait again. Why? Because you have to get everything just right before you move forward. Or maybe it’s just fear. The next thing you know, time passes by and you have accomplished nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Persistently yours. Angie.
Persistence and Determination
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not… Education will not…Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent…”
— Calvin Coolidge

Focus
On the heels of the Ohio school shooting America seems to deflect its importance by focusing on a Gay Marine’s homecoming kiss or on Angelina Jolie‘s Leg.
There are so many important things happening in the world. I guess it is easier to deflect our difficult problems than to face them and solve them. I get it. Sometimes you just need to relax. But don’t let it distract you from your goals. What will you focus on today? this week? Are you committed to doing what you need to do?
The Big Stuff
Greet the World with Enthusiasm @angieandthecool Network subscribe to youtube.com/coolnetworkmusic

Life can be beautiful. Some people just have that natural ability to pop out of bed and just smile to greet the world with 100% of their energy. Others have to struggle. That’s ok. Which ever type you are, find that thing that makes you pop out of the bed and greet the world with enthusiasm. “Hello world, I’m here!” Then help someone else feel inspired. Inspire someone. Don’t forget to pass it on.
RIP Rest In Peace Whitney Houston
I am saddened by this news that whitney has died. I hope and pray that the family, friends and fans will find some comfort in her beautiful voice and the smiles she left with the world. I do not know why this had to happen. I think someone out there could have helped. Let’s think about the people in our lives. Let’s try to protect them and cherish them.
How to convert between pH and concentrations.
Aim: How to convert between pH and concentrations.
Activity: Draw the pH scale.
Notes: Sörenson defined pH as the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration.
pH = – log [H+]
Remember that sometimes H3O+ is written, so
pH = – log [H3O+]
means the same thing.
So let’s try a simple problem: The [H+] in a solution is measured to be 0.010 M. What is the pH?
The solution is pretty straightforward. Plug the [H+] into the pH definition:
pH = – log 0.010
An alternate way to write this is:
pH = – log 10¯2
Since the log of 10¯2 is -2, we have:
pH = – (- 2)
Which, of course, is 2.

Notes:
oxidizing agent: the substance that gets reduced
reducing agent: the substance that gets oxidized
An atom gets oxidized when the oxidation number increases.
